Over countless coffees with friends, a common thread kept coming up — facing the same emotional challenge. Our parents were reaching a stage where they needed more support, often moving into retirement living. But finding a service that could help with the whole process — both practical and emotional — was tough.
For adult children living in different towns, or juggling careers and families, it often felt like an impossible task. That’s when the idea for Life’s Next Stage began to take shape.
I’m Deanna. I was born in Auckland and raised on a farm near Taupō. Understanding people and offering support has always been important to me, which led me to study Psychology at Waikato University. Over the past 30 years, I’ve built a career in Project and Change Management—all while raising four children. Now, I’m bringing those skills and life experiences together in a way that feels deeply personal and purposeful.
I believe in the power of gentle transitions. Downsizing and decluttering can be incredibly freeing when done with care and purpose—it clears the way for new beginnings. And I know that meaningful change happens not by pushing, but by creating a vision that feels safe and hopeful.
Life’s Next Stage is grounded in values of compassion, clarity, and communication. I listen just as much as I guide, and I understand the delicate balance of supporting both older adults and the people who love them.
This is more than a service—it’s a heartfelt partnership through one of life’s most tender seasons.
